It's built from hardened tool steel for thousands of terminations, with a non-slip grip that keeps the tool steady and eases hand fatigue across a long run of jacks. It's made exclusively for our high-density keystone jacks, whose tighter wire spacing is what lets one action do the work of eight; it won't fit standard keystone jacks or jacks from other manufacturers.

Good to Know

This is a dedicated tool, not a general-purpose punch-down. It fits our high-density keystone jacks only; standard keystone jacks and other makers' jacks have different bodies and wider wire spacing and won't load or line up with the blades, so check that your jacks are the HD family before you buy, and keep a 110 impact tool for everything else. Dress the pairs into the jack with the untwist as short as the jack allows before you load it, make sure the jack is fully seated in the tool, and close the handle in one steady squeeze all the way to the stop rather than working it, since the seat and the cut happen together. Clear the trimmed conductor ends out of the tool now and then so they don't get under the next jack. The tool terminates the jack; it doesn't strip the cable, so a jacket stripper belongs alongside it.
