LC to LC Fiber Patch Cable - Single Mode OS2 9/125μm Duplex
Usually ships within 1–3 business days. We ship as soon as possible, though times are not guaranteed, and your order goes out via the shipping service you select at checkout. Please note: patch cords longer than 15 meters may require additional lead time.

This is the workhorse single-mode cord: LC/UPC on both ends, OS2 fiber, duplex, in lengths from a 1 ft rack jumper to a 100 m run across a building. LC/UPC is the blue connector on nearly every SFP, SFP+, SFP28, and QSFP breakout, and on the patch panels and cassettes that face them, so this is the cord that connects a switch to a panel, a panel to a panel, or a transceiver to a transceiver in almost every enterprise and data center closet.
It's OS2 single-mode fiber, 9/125 µm, in a duplex configuration for a transmit and receive pair. Each cord is tested and the end-faces are checked by interferometer before it ships.
Features
- LC/UPC on both ends. Blue flat-polished connectors for the UPC ports on switches, transceivers, and patch panels.
- OS2 single-mode, 9/125 µm. For 1310 and 1550 nm links, from a rack jumper to a campus or metro span.
- Duplex. Two fibers for a matched transmit and receive pair, wired A-to-B.
- Low insertion loss. 0.15 dB typical and 0.30 dB maximum per connector.
- 1.25 mm ceramic ferrules, checked by 3D interferometry for end-face geometry.
- Snap-in LC latch. Half the footprint of SC, for high-density line cards and panels.
- ETL Listed for the US and Canada (Intertek 4009521), and RoHS compliant.
- Twenty-two lengths from 1 ft to 100 m.
Where It Fits
It suits switch-to-patch-panel and panel-to-panel jumpers, SFP and SFP+ transceiver links between switches, routers, and firewalls, top-of-rack to spine and leaf connections, SAN and Fibre Channel links, building-to-building runs inside a campus, and any single-mode link between two blue LC ports, from a tidy 1 ft jumper in the rack to a 100 m run to the next equipment room.
Good to Know
Both ends are UPC, so both of your ports need to be UPC, which is the blue connector on almost all switches, transceivers, and patch panels. If one end is a green APC port, on a PON OLT, splitter, or FTTH outlet for example, you want an LC/UPC to LC/APC cord or an LC/UPC to SC/APC cord instead. Keep dust caps on until the moment you plug in, and clean both the connector and the port with a one-click cleaner before mating; a fingerprint on a single-mode ferrule costs more than the whole cord's loss budget. Single-mode fiber doesn't care about length at these distances, so pick the length that fits with a little slack and no coil; a 100 m cord has the same loss budget as a 1 m cord, plus a rounding error. For the longer lengths, keep the cord in a tray or off the floor, and if it has to be pulled through conduit, ask about a 3.0 mm jacket or an OFNR-rated cable. For the tightest racks, the uniboot version puts both fibers in one round jacket.
