Before any cut, find out what's behind the wall: a stud finder, a look for wires and pipes, and a small pilot hole or a probe in the center of the marked opening will tell you whether the box can go there, and a cutter that goes through drywall in seconds goes through romex and PEX just as fast. Mark the outline with the WTL-12 first, leveling the template on its bubbles and lining up its centerlines on your layout mark or the plate next door, and screw it to the wall if you'll be cutting with it in place; then set the multi-tool to a moderate speed, start the EBC-800 square to the wall, and plunge straight in without rocking, since a tilted head cuts an opening that's bigger on one face than the other.
