CAT6 Slim Ethernet Patch Cable - Unshielded

At 3.6 mm, this cable is about half the diameter of a standard Cat6 patch cord. Bundles shrink, air moves through the rack, and a full patch panel stays readable. It's the slim cord for the Gigabit and multi-gig racks that don't need Cat6A, and at 20 feet or less it handles 10G links too.

The 28 AWG stranded copper conductors are what make it slim, and they also make it flexible enough to dress tightly into cable managers and around switch ports. It meets Category 6 and works with Cat5e and Cat6A equipment.

• Unshielded (UTP). No shield means no grounding to worry about and the most flexible construction.
• Flexible PVC jacket. The cable is RoHS compliant.
• T568B wiring. It comes in 0.5 to 20 ft lengths and nine colors for color-coding your network.

Where It Fits

It suits dense patch panels and top-of-rack switches, server cabinets where cooling matters, wall-mount enclosures with little depth, network closets short on cable management room, and short 10G jumpers between switches and servers in the same rack.

Good to Know

This is a patch cord. Like all 28 AWG cable, it's built for short runs inside the rack and at the work area, not for permanent horizontal runs. Cat6 carries 10G over short distances only; if you need 10G on a longer channel, use the Cat6A slim cord, which is the same 3.6 mm construction. Because it's unshielded, keep it away from motors, welders, and high-voltage gear.
