A copper HDMI cable that carries 4K at 60 Hz to 25 ft starts to struggle at 30, and by 60 ft it's a repeater or nothing. This active optical HDMI 2.0 cable carries the full 18 Gbps over fiber instead: the optical transceivers are built into the connectors, the signal goes down the cable as light, and the 4K/60 picture arrives at 30, 45, or 60 ft with no amplifier, no repeater, and no external power supply, with the copper conductors inside the same 4.7 mm jacket handling eARC, HEAC, HDCP, and the control lines. It's backward compatible with every earlier HDMI version and passes HDR. The cable is directional: the connector bezels are marked SOURCE and DISPLAY, the source end goes to the computer, laptop, DVR, or game console and the display end to the TV or monitor. Gold-plated connectors, bare copper conductors, aluminum Mylar shielding, and an LSZH jacket that gives off no toxic gas if it burns, in a cable thin enough to pull where a copper HDMI cable won't go. Good to Know

The cable is directional: the bezel on each connector says SOURCE or DISPLAY, the source end goes into the player, console, or computer and the display end into the TV, monitor, or projector, and it will not pass a signal plugged in backward, so read the bezels before the cable goes into a wall. It's an active optical cable, which means the connectors can't be cut off and re-terminated and the cable can't be shortened; order the length the run needs with a little slack. There's glass inside the 4.7 mm jacket, so pull it by a pull sock or tape over the connector rather than by the connector itself, don't kink it, don't staple it, and keep the bend radius generous at the back of the display and in the wall box. It's 18 Gbps HDMI 2.0, which is 4K at 60 Hz with HDR; 4K/120 and 8K are HDMI 2.1 rates and want the HDMOAOC02 at 48 Gbps. The LSZH jacket is the low-smoke, halogen-free part, which is what you want in an enclosed room; it isn't a plenum rating, so a run through an air-handling space needs the local code checked. It's an indoor cable.
