Ten amps and 1250 W covers a desktop, a monitor, a printer, and most office and AV equipment, and it is the cord's limit; a server, a big workstation, or anything with a 15 A nameplate wants the 14/3 PWRAD, and anything with a ridge across its inlet needs the C15 that cord has, since a C13 won't seat in a C16 inlet. 18 AWG is the gauge that makes this cord thin and flexible; it's rated for 10 A at every length offered, and the 25 ft is for reaching an outlet, not for daisy-chaining through a power strip to another strip. SVT is a 300 V thermoplastic jacket for indoor service vacuum-cleaner-grade duty; it's for a desk, an office, or a rack, not for outdoors, for being walked on, or for a shop floor. Seat the plug fully in the receptacle and the C13 fully in the inlet, since a half-seated connector on a 10 A load runs warm, and pick the length that reaches with a gentle loop and no more.
