The Jonard Tools TK-611 is a security and alarm installer's tool bag, assembled by the people who make the tools. Sixteen tools in a rugged 21-pocket case cover the three cable types an alarm, access, or camera job runs on, coax, network, and power, from stripping and ringing the jacket to compression, crimp, and punch-down termination, with a modular cable tester and a tone and probe kit for finding and proving the runs afterward. The pieces are Jonard's standard catalog tools rather than kit-grade fillers: the CT-200 universal compression tool, the UC-4569 six-in-one pass-through RJ45 crimper, the EPD-91461 punch-down tool with 66 and 110 blades, the TETP-800 tone and probe, and the rest, each with its own part number so a lost or worn tool can be replaced on its own. It's everything a new tech needs to start, and a complete, matched set for a shop that wants every van carrying the same kit.

What's in the Kit

  • Cable prep. UST-500 universal cable stripping tool for coax, network, and power cable; CST-1900 round cable strip and ring tool; JIC-1626 wire stripper, 16 to 26 AWG; WSC-826 wire stripper and crimper, 8 to 26 AWG; KN-7 ergonomic cable splicing knife; JIC-186 wire and Kevlar cutting shears.
  • Termination. CT-200 universal compression tool for coax connectors; UC-4569 six-in-one crimping tool for pass-through RJ45 and RJ11/12 plugs; EPD-91461 punch-down tool with 66 and 110 blades; RBNC-3 compact BNC connector tool; JIC-22148 combo crimper and long nose pliers.
  • Testing and tracing. MCT-468 modular cable tester for RJ45, RJ12, and RJ11 cables; TETP-800 cable tester tone and probe kit for finding a cable in a bundle, a closet, or a wall.
  • General hand tools. JIC-683 lineman's side cut pliers; SD-61 six-in-one multi-bit screwdriver with Phillips and other bits; MRS-24 MagneTriever magnetic pickup for the screw that fell into the panel.
  • H-90 rugged 21-pocket tool case. A pocket for every tool and room for the small parts, so a missing tool shows before you leave the site.

Where It Fits

It suits security and alarm installers and service techs working on intrusion panels, sensors, keypads, and sirens, CCTV and camera installers terminating coax and network runs on the same job, access control and intercom work that mixes low-voltage power, data, and signal cable, a company outfitting new technicians or standardizing the van kit across a fleet, and anyone who wants the whole low-voltage toolset in one case from one maker rather than piecing it together.

Good to Know

Every tool in the kit is a Jonard catalog item with its own part number, so when a blade dulls or a tool walks off, replace the piece rather than the kit; the UC-4569 crimper is sold on its own here, and we can source the others. The punch-down tool's 66 and 110 blades cover alarm and telephone blocks and keystone jacks respectively; check which is fitted before the first stroke. The UC-4569 is a pass-through crimper, so it needs pass-through RJ45 plugs, and ordinary RJ45 plugs belong on a standard crimper. The CT-200 compression tool and the RBNC-3 BNC tool are for compression-style connectors on coax; the connectors themselves aren't included, and neither are plugs, jacks, or blocks. The MCT-468 tester checks wiring and continuity on modular cables; it's not a certifier, and it doesn't test coax. The tone and probe kit finds a cable; it doesn't tell you what's on it, so check for voltage before you strip anything that could be a power run. The kit weighs 9 lb loaded, which is manageable for a van or a shop but worth knowing if it's going up a ladder.
