This is a 12-port unshielded Cat6 patch panel that mounts vertically on a wall, on an 89D bracket, for the closet that has no rack. The 12 RJ45 ports sit flush in the front of a 16-gauge steel faceplate 10 in wide, and behind each one is a dual IDC block in nickel-plated phosphor bronze that takes either a 110 or a Krone punch-down tool. The 89D bracket is the standard telecom wall bracket, so the panel stands off the backboard and hinges open for punching down, the same way a 66 or 110 block does. It's rated for PoE++ (802.3bt, 4PPoE) up to 100 W, it meets ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.2, and it's UL listed and RoHS compliant. The installation kit is in the box: the bracket, mounting screws, cable ties, and instructions. It's sold individually. Where It Fits

It suits a home or small office where the Cat6 runs land on a plywood backboard in a utility closet and there's no rack to put a panel in. It suits a retail store, a dental office, or a branch with a dozen drops that terminate next to the phone block. Installers adding structured cabling to a building that only ever had a 66 block use it, since the 89D bracket mounts where the old blocks did. A small security or access-point install with a handful of PoE home runs is a candidate, and so is a wall cabinet too shallow for a rack panel. It goes with the bulk Cat6, the 110 or Krone punch-down tool, and the Cat6 patch cords from the copper collections. For the Cat6 jacks at the work area, the KEY6-90. Good to Know

Mount the 89D bracket to the backboard first, into plywood or anchors, with the open side where the cables will arrive; the panel then hangs on the bracket's hooks and swings out so you can punch down from the back and swing it closed when you're done. Bring the cables up behind the bracket, strip the jacket, keep the twist in each pair to within half an inch of the IDC, lay the conductors by the color code to match the jacks at the far end, and punch down with a 110 or Krone tool to match the block, cutting edge outward. Use solid-conductor cable for horizontal runs. The ports face out from the wall, so the patch cords hang down in front; leave room below the panel for them and for the switch they go to, and tie the incoming bundle to the backboard or the bracket so its weight is never on the punch-downs. Label as you go, since a wall panel in a closet is the one that gets forgotten. The panel is unshielded, so it's for unshielded Cat6; shielded cable needs a shielded panel so the drain wires have somewhere to land. On PoE++ ports carrying 100 W, a clean punch on every conductor matters more than for data alone. A Cat6 panel makes a Cat6 link, which carries Gigabit to 100 m and 10 Gigabit only over short runs. The page doesn't say whether the panel wires to T568A or T568B or both, so check the block's color coding before you commit the first cable.
