This is a 12-port unshielded Cat6 patch panel in 1U, preloaded. The 12 RJ45 ports sit flush in the front of a 16-gauge black powder-coated steel panel, with a labeling area beside them, and behind each one is a color-coded 110 IDC block that wires to T568A or T568B. It mounts in any standard 19 in rack at 1.75 in tall and only 1.17 in deep, so it sits flat against the rails, and it weighs 2.75 lb. It's rated for PoE++ (802.3bt, 4PPoE) up to 100 W, UL listed, and RoHS compliant. The installation kit is in the box: mounting screws, cable ties, and instructions. It's sold individually. Where It Fits

It suits a home network or a small office with a dozen drops and a short rack or a wall cabinet to land them in. It suits a branch, a retail store, or a single classroom wing where 24 ports would sit half empty. Installers who want a rack panel for a small job, with room left in the same 1U for a brush panel or a second small panel later, use it, and so do people who like a flat panel with no rear depth for a shallow cabinet. A small security or access-point install with a handful of PoE home runs is a candidate. It goes with the bulk Cat6, the 110 punch-down tool, and the Cat6 patch cords from the copper collections. Good to Know

Twelve ports in a 19 in panel leaves plenty of room between them, so the cords and labels are easy to work on and one horizontal cable manager above or below is more than enough. The panel is only 1.17 in deep, so there's no built-in strain relief bar; tie the bundle to the rack's rear rails or a separate bar so the weight is never on the punch-downs. Strip the jacket, keep the twist in each pair to within half an inch of the IDC, lay the conductors by the color code in T568A or T568B to match the jacks at the far end, and punch down with a 110 tool, blade's cutting edge outward. Use solid-conductor cable for horizontal runs. Label as you go. The panel is unshielded, so it's for unshielded Cat6; shielded cable needs a shielded panel so the drain wires have somewhere to land. On PoE++ ports carrying 100 W, a clean punch on every conductor matters more than for data alone. A Cat6 panel makes a Cat6 link, which carries Gigabit to 100 m and 10 Gigabit only over short runs; for 10 Gigabit at full distance, the Cat6A panels.
